Recently, I found this guy's blog, called "A Collage A Day" http://acollageaday.blogspot.com/ The guy's name is Randel Plowman and he makes a 4" x 4" collage every day, then puts them up for sale on his site. I like his work, mostly his use of old pictures and of different papers.
I figured I would try an experiment inspired by Mr. Plowman's project. I'm going to try and create a collage every day for a week, and I'll post them here.
This is my first one:
The dimensions are 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and it's put on a cardboard backing. I used some great wrapping paper, magazine clippings, and a couple pieces from a 1942 Minneapolis newspaper. I didn't plan for it to be so girly, but that's just the way it turned out! (Hopefully they won't all be like that, I'd like to think I could be more creative than that.) I painted just a bit on top of the images, and used a little coloured pencil. The stains on the newsprint were there already...
