"Some Velvet Morning" is just a crazy song! I think I need to find some more Lee Hazelwood-- he has an incredible voice. Sagittarius sounds like all sorts of other bands... one second The Mamas & The Papas, then The Beach Boys, then maybe even The Association! And Os Mutantes is actually a Brazillian band, and that song is just crazy fun. The favourite version of "The First Cut is the Deepest" is, of course, the original by Cat Stevens... but this lady P.P. Arnold just sings the crap out of that song!! It's wonderful!!
I finished the CD just in time to give a copy to my friend who had been having a bad day... She actually knew a lot of the French stuff already!
